Reaching 180 million yuan ($26.88 million) in annual sales by 2025, Taizhou Yuyue Packaging Materials has completed a remarkable 12-year evolution from a small township processor into a national high-tech enterprise.
Founded in Taixing's Xuanbao town in 2014, the company initially focused on basic pearl cotton processing before executing three strategic shifts into photovoltaics and automotive energy storage.
A major turning point came with its self-developed back-contact cell coating paper — a vital protection component requiring micrometer-level precision. After two years of research, Yuyue became the sole mass producer for a period, helping it secure high-tech credentials and lead industry standard-setting.
To stay competitive, Yuyue has aggressively embraced smart manufacturing. Newly deployed robotic welders have cut labor costs by 40 percent and boosted efficiency by 20 percent, with automation targeted to reach 80 percent soon. Meanwhile, lightning-fast response times have enabled the firm to establish four major production bases across Taizhou in Jiangsu province, Xinzhou in Shanxi province, Chongqing, and Jingmen in Hubei province.
By shortening logistics radii and offering localized support, Yuyue now stably serves industry giants like Longi, Huawei, and Great Wall Motor. Moving forward, the company plans to deepen its footprint in solar and automotive packaging while continuing its intelligent upgrade.
