The eastern district of the Taixing Economic Development Zone is staking its claim in China's booming low-altitude economy, channeling its smart manufacturing strengths into drone development, pilot training and aviation services.

At Jiangsu Kanghe Aviation Technology, new training drones are completing certification flight tests. The company operates a full-chain drone education ecosystem with in-house research and development covering flight control, cluster coordination and air-ground intelligent systems.

It also holds dual accreditations from civil aviation authorities for drone pilot training and national vocational skill certification. "We cultivate talent through competition-integrated education to build a strong workforce foundation," said R&D director Yang Long.

Jiangsu Aiweike Aviation Technology, established in 2024, has quickly carved out a niche in core technologies for unmanned helicopters. With multiple proprietary patents in structures and control systems, the company has built a closed-loop industrial system spanning R&D, experimentation, testing and production. "We have clear technical advantages in engine efficiency and component durability," said technical director Zhang Lin.

The Taixing Economic Development Zone has assembled a preliminary industrial chain extending from component manufacturing to complete aircraft and application scenarios. The next phase will target low-altitude logistics, emergency rescue and urban governance as the zone pursues its goal of becoming a prominent hub for the low-altitude economy in the Yangtze River Delta region.
