Taixing's regional GDP has surged past 150 billion yuan ($22.23 billion), powered by a five-year industrial transformation that has reshaped the county-level economy and strengthened its competitive position in Jiangsu province.
The milestone follows consistent policy focus on project-driven growth, industrial innovation and green transformation. At Huierxin Machinery's wind power equipment project, newly deployed intelligent casting lines have boosted production efficiency fivefold while slashing manufacturing costs by 25 percent and energy consumption by 20 percent. The company's sales leaped from 700 million yuan in 2021 to 2.95 billion yuan in 2025, illustrating how targeted upgrades can fuel rapid expansion.
Specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises are also punching above their weight. Taixing Longyi Terminal, a dedicated manufacturer of copper tube terminals and connectors, has filled a critical domestic gap in high-voltage, high-current products through sustained in-house research and proprietary tooling development.
Citywide metrics confirm the momentum. Industrial sales exceeded 250 billion yuan in 2025. Over the past five years, Taixing has added roughly 100 industrial enterprises above designated size — those with annual revenue of at least 20 million yuan — annually on average, cultivating two national manufacturing champions, four 5G-enabled factories, 13 national green factories and 40 specialized "little giant" enterprises.
General public budget revenue has stabilized above 10 billion yuan, leading all counties north of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu for eight consecutive years. Officials said the city broke ground on 540 industrial projects valued at above 100 million yuan during the five-year span, laying a robust foundation for sustained high-quality development.
