Taixing, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, has signed 105 projects each valued at over 100 million yuan ($14.81 million) in the first half of this year, ranking first across Taizhou city and powering the region's industrial upgrading drive.

The deals span new energy, advanced materials, biomedicine and intelligent equipment, aligning with the city's modern industrial framework. Headline signings include a 3-billion-yuan flywheel energy storage plant, a 2.2-billion-yuan semiconductor materials base and a 7.2-billion-yuan high-end chemicals facility.

Construction is advancing rapidly. Huide's 2-billion-yuan polyurethane complex, covering 222 mu (14.8 hectares), aims to break foreign monopolies on thermoplastic elastomers and is expected to generate 5 billion yuan in annual sales and 170 million yuan in taxes while creating 400 jobs. Sinochem Kangyuan's 1.2-billion-yuan nutritional health ingredients project is also progressing, targeting 1.2 billion yuan in yearly sales.

Taixing's biomedicine sector delivered robust first-half results, with output value exceeding 8 billion yuan and sales surging 82 percent year-on-year. The intelligent equipment segment signed 14 new projects totaling 2.99 billion yuan, including a 100-million-yuan ultra-quiet axial flow fan plant that will produce 65,000 units annually for aerospace and marine applications. A 1.03-billion-yuan modular engineering equipment project broke ground in May.

Officials attributed the strong pipeline to both fresh investment and reinvestment by established firms launching second and third phases, reflecting sustained confidence in Taixing's industrial ecosystem.
