Taixing in Jiangsu province is shifting its new quality productive forces into a higher gear by leveraging industry-university-research collaboration as a key driver. This strategic approach is helping to bridge the gap between technology, industry, and the economy, while also breaking through technological bottlenecks and elevating industries to the high end of the value chain.

Recently, the city has witnessed remarkable progress at the Jiangsu Jicui Semiconductor Ceramic Materials Research Institute, where China's first RZ substrate product is undergoing testing. With stringent precision requirements of 0.005 millimeters, this breakthrough addresses a long-standing reliance on imported high-end products.

The institute's core team, primarily from Tsinghua University, excels in advanced structural ceramic materials research and precision ceramic component preparation technology. Supported by investments from the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taizhou Industrial Technology Research Institute, Tsinghua University's State Key Laboratory of New Ceramics & Fine Processing, and Taixing High-tech Zone, the institute provides a swift pathway for translating research findings into practical applications.

Additionally, Taixing has established three offshore innovation centers in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Nanjing, attracting over 10 academicians and their teams. These efforts, coupled with the launch of research platforms like the China Institute of Bio-fermentation and Future Food Industry, further fuel innovation and new quality productive forces in the region.
