The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently released the list of enterprises selected for the 2025 zero-carbon (near-zero carbon) factory program. This marks the first time Jiangsu has conducted such an initiative, with a total of 18 enterprises across the province making the cut, including two from Taixing.
A "near-zero carbon factory" is defined as a facility that, over a specified period, minimizes greenhouse gas emissions during production and service processes through autonomous reduction efforts. Any remaining emissions are offset through external reduction projects or carbon credits, ultimately achieving net-zero emissions.
Jiangsu Cosine Electric, a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of 35kV and below transformers, has established a comprehensive low-carbon system covering energy, production, products, supply chains, and carbon management.

Meanwhile, Wincell Group, a leader in green thermal insulation materials and environmental sound insulation, has built Jiangsu province's first near-zero carbon factory in the thermal insulation sector. It has achieved 100 percent renewable electricity usage and continuously reduced carbon emission intensity.

Taixing plans to continue implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy, promoting green and low-carbon development, and establishing a robust system to foster more zero-carbon and near-zero carbon factories.
