It carried a consignment of some 1,500 tons of butyl acrylate, an organic compound produced by manufacturer Taixing Jinjiang Chemical Industry, which was offloaded from the cargo hold through a pipeline to waiting supply vessels.

The Jinyan terminal is mainly engaged in the loading and unloading business of alcohol, esters, alkanes and other goods. From January to October, its cargo throughput topped 1 million tons, representing an increase of nearly 40 percent compared with the same period last year.

Elsewhere, the Qiwei public wharf has continued to promote the berthing of large sea vessels this year, comprehensively improving the port berthing capacity.

In the first 10 months, the wharf posted a throughput of 16.48 million tons, with a target throughput of 20 million tons for the full year.
