The Taizhou bureau of industry and information technology recently released the latest batch of municipal enterprise technology centers.
Eleven enterprises from Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, were recognized.
An enterprise technology center refers to a technology research and innovation institution established by a company. It is responsible for formulating the enterprise's technology innovation plans, conducting industrial technology research and development, and gathering and cultivating innovative talent, among others.
One recognized company, Jiangsu Haitai Marine Equipment, specializes in the production and R&D of ship deck machinery and marine engineering machinery.

In recent years, the company has established technical cooperation relations with a number of shipbuilding research institutes. Thanks to R&D innovation, its deck machinery production and sales have gone from strength to strength.
In the first three quarters of this year, the company's invoiced sales topped 220 million yuan ($30.18 million), beating total sales for all of last year.
Another recognized company in the batch was Taixing Longyi Terminals, producer of copper tube terminals, intermediate joints, polyvinyl chloride terminals and other products.
Faced with fierce market competition, the company established its enterprise technology center, continually increasing investment in R&D and establishing cooperative relationships with leading universities and research institutions.
The quality of Longyi's products satisfy the needs of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises such as CRRC and Huawei, which are known for their strict quality standards.
