The Jiangsu branch of the Zhongke Computing Power Center was unveiled in the Taixing High-tech Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 20.

Computing power centers are widely regarded as being important components of new digital information infrastructure.

The new facility in Taixing is the first artificial intelligence high-performance computing power cluster to be constructed by Beijing-based Zhongke Xinkong (Beijing) Technology in Jiangsu.

As such, the new center will provide computing power support in fields such as smart cities, digital government, smart healthcare and industrial intelligence, said Wang Zhao, general manager of the company.

The center will be constructed in two phases. On completion, the computing resources will prioritize meeting the needs of major local projects and industrial development in Taixing.

The center can be connected to the Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center's national computing scheduling platform, so it can compute services to more than 200,000 users across the country.

A signing ceremony was also held that day, with the new center undertaking to work with the China Science Assistance Technology Group in Beijing and Taixing Fengqi Lesheng Technology.
