In the latest round of special assessment results, the Hongqiao Industrial Park – located in Taixing city, administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has reportedly been upgraded to an A-level park.
The Hongqiao Industrial Park has proved to be adept at attracting major new projects as the core driver for its economic development.
One of them is a new fiber materials plant costing 1.03 billion yuan ($141.84 million), which is about to start full-scale production.
Of great appeal to companies looking to expand in new sites, is that the park provides tailored services to assist projects in accelerating the pace of construction.
As a result, immediately after signing up for the project, it established an agency service team to help with the completion of a photovoltaic equipment plant funded by Jiangsu Hongdi New Energy Technology Co Ltd.
This meant that it took only three months for the project to obtain its construction certificate, begin work and complete construction.
Looking ahead, plans are for the park to sign up, break ground and complete over 35, 18 and 13 projects respectively in the current year.
