Zaocha, or early breakfast tea, is a popular treat for those residing in or visiting Taixing city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province. This video shows you an array of Zaocha varieties that locals prefer in Tongzhu Garden, a Taixing tea house.
These delicacies include Tang gansi, or boiled scaly tofu threads, Quxia crab-roe soup dumpling, Xuanbao huntun or wonton and so-called Xianzi coffee, which is local barley congee.
Each season, the city also selects ingredients, so people can enjoy them for a limited time.
Authentic Zaocha incorporates the taste of Taixing into everyday life. Check out this video to find out more details!
