The Taizhou Day series of events conducted by Taizhou city recently took place at universities in Changzhou city – both located in East China's Jiangsu province – to lure more graduates to work in Taizhou.
Xu Zimin, an inspector with the Jiangsu department of education, said that the main degree disciplines and majors from seven invited Changzhou universities were highly correlated to the development of Taizhou's industry.
The Taizhou Day series of events in Changzhou held recruitment fairs, urban landscape exhibitions and real estate enterprise fairs. A total of 16 major projects and 60 key enterprises from Taizhou offered over 2,000 top-quality positions on-site.
Liang Sanyuan, head of Taizhou's organization department, said that Changzhou was the first stop for this year's Taizhou Day series of events. He added that the two cities had broad cooperation synergies in the fields of equipment manufacturing, biomedicines, new energy and new materials.
As one of the youngest cities in Jiangsu, Taizhou was accelerating its development as a youth and talent-friendly city, with 39,000 new jobs for young folks added last year, he added.
Zhang Kun, Party secretary of Taixing city – a county-level city administered by Taizhou – said that Taixing provided multiple development platforms, boasting six industrial parks with considerable scale and distinctive features.
