Seven industrial projects in Taixing city – administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently included on the list of 2024 Jiangsu Province Major Projects, ranking it first among the areas under the jurisdiction of Taizhou.
They include a high-end new materials project funded by SP Chemicals (Taixing), a grease production plant operated by Apical Oleochemical (Taixing) and a new materials project run by Jiangsu Huide New Materials.
Then there is a thermoplastic polyethylene elastomer project operated by Lianhong Huisheng (Jiangsu) New Materials, as well as a chemical project, an industrial machine tool project and a wind power gearbox component project.
This year, there are 510 major new projects in Jiangsu, including 450 implementation projects and 60 reserve projects.
Of these, there are 280 major industrial projects with a combined investment of 216.6 billion yuan ($30.21 billion), as well as 12 social welfare projects, 13 ecological and environmental protection projects and 145 infrastructure projects.
