The first Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China High-level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, on Oct 10.
Twenty-one teams from universities and enterprises, such as Jiangnan University and East China University of Science and Technology, participated in the competition.
Themed on bio-fermentation and future food, the competition attracted projects related to special medical food, food packaging technology, and cloud brewing systems.

Fan Cunli, vice-mayor of Taixing, stated that the zone will take the opportunity to fully leverage its driving role in innovation and entrepreneurship and will push to achieve the thriving development of Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China – which is situated in the zone.
The judges of this event conducted on-site evaluations to determine scores in product innovation, social value, talent team quality, development status and prospects, and the possibility of implementation.
In the end, a medical beauty material project focusing on high immune activity injections won first prize at the event.
