Since the start of the year, the modern agricultural industrial park in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has continued to extend its agricultural product deep processing industry chain.

Jiangsu Haotai Biotechnology Co Ltd, a resident company in the park, has been progressing its soluble polysaccharide production project, whose production workshop is projected to be completed in mid-October.

"The product will be mainly used in food to improve food taste and increase viscosity. On completion, the annual output can reach 22,000 metric tons," said Cai Jun, general manager of the company.

Elsewhere, at Jiangsu Sanzhen Food Technology Co Ltd, its bean product production workshop has processed local soybeans which become products like fried tofu.

Based on the basic industrial sectors of fruit and vegetable processing, livestock and poultry processing and grain processing, the park aims to take the lead in food processing and manufacturing, stated Wang Fei, a park official.
