Taixing People's Hospital – located in Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently began providing home care services, in a bid to relieve medical problems for special groups.
People in need can make an online appointment for the nursing service through their mobile phones. On the hospital's official WeChat account, folks can place an online order according to their needs.
After receiving the order, nurses will confirm the time and location of the on-site service.
Groups with difficulties include discharged patients, the elderly or disabled or semi disabled old people, convalescent patients, end-stage patients, chronic disease patients, as well as other groups with home-based care needs.
Four categories have now been opened. These are for specialized nursing care, clinical care, mother and child care and traditional Chinese medicine nursing.
The service's scope is centered around the hospital and within a radius of 5 kilometers.
