This year, Jiangyan Economic Development Zone in Taizhou has been actively promoting characteristic agricultural projects to empower rural vitalization.
In September, the Edible Mushroom Industry Development Center in Jiangyan EDZ initiated a partnership with the Vegetable Research Institute of the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The project is expected to start operating in November, with a daily production capacity of 40,000 edible mushrooms, driving the development of local specialty industries and boosting farmers' incomes.
Additionally, Jiangyan EDZ has been advancing rural tourism projects, launching a total of 23 initiatives, including six rural landscape improvement projects, seven infrastructure enhancement projects, eight route and signage upgrades, and two experiential space developments, which have significantly enhanced the quality of rural tourism. In the first half of 2024, three major tourist attractions in the zone—Xiaoyang village, Qinhu Lake Oasis, and Mushroom Tribe—welcomed over 100,000 visitors.
