The night economy in Jiangyan district of Taizhou is experiencing a boom thanks to various measures implemented by the local government to diversify consumption patterns.
To enhance convenience for consumers, Jiangyan district has designated a special area for "night economy" stalls on the district's pedestrian street, which is its major commercial center. This area features nearly a hundred game and general merchandise stalls. Bands are also invited to perform on the street, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Nighttime activities have been introduced into tourist attractions as well. Qinhu Lake, for example, offers an immersive show titled A Dream to Qinhu Lake. With five chapters and a 7.5-km journey by boat, the show transports visitors to a dreamlike fairyland through the clever use of light, shadows, water, mist, and sound. In June and July of this year, the attraction welcomed around 158,000 visitors.
Furthermore, Jiangyan district is encouraging businesses to extend their operating hours, with the night-time operating rate in the urban area exceeding 80 percent. The district has also launched several "night economy" shopping festivals and has established five nighttime consumption areas, enriching the local nightlife and improving the consumption experience.
