In a strategic move to bolster the new energy industry, Kong Wei, director of the management committee of the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently undertook a bold course of action.
Kong led a delegation to Shenzhen and Guangzhou cities in South China's Guangdong province, as well as Xiamen city in East China's Fujian province.
The mission aimed to attract top-tier enterprises by showcasing Jiangyan's robust economic vitality and vast development potential.

During the tour, Kong underscored the importance of capitalizing on the burgeoning opportunities within his city's new energy sector. He highlighted the necessity for Jiangyan to accelerate the systematic, large-scale and specialized growth of its leading industries.
Kong also stressed the need for the development zone to adopt a more proactive stance in attracting investments. He called for the introduction of more high-quality projects, emphasizing Jiangyan's commitment to fostering an optimal business environment.
This included providing one-stop services for enterprises and proactively addressing any challenges that came up during the implementation of projects.
The overarching goal, he added, was to ensure swift project initiations, construction and operations – thereby achieving early and impactful results.
