Since the start of this year, Gugao town in Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province has diligently pursued the "strengthening the town through industry" initiative, urging businesses to bolster investments in technological advancements and innovation.
Zhu Qiansheng, deputy director of Gugao town's economic development bureau emphasized the government's role in aiding enterprises with intelligent transformation and digitalization. Through technical support and financial incentives, companies are encouraged to adopt smart technologies and digital management systems. A one-stop service platform has also been established to help firms tackle technical hurdles and market challenges.
Among these enterprises, Jiangsu Weina Fashion Co Ltd stands out for its continuous integration of cutting-edge technologies and management practices. The company has evolved into a comprehensive entity, excelling in textile printing, dyeing, import-export trade, and domestic commerce. Notably, Weina Fashion achieved remarkable growth in the first quarter, exporting over 1.5 million garments and exceeding sales of 1 billion yuan ($13.82 million), marking a 40 percent year-on-year increase.
The support extended to Weina Fashion symbolizes the town's commitment to guiding businesses through the journey of intelligent transformation and digitalization. Over 30 traditional manufacturing entities have initiated technological upgrades, with five projects planned this year involving a total investment of 200 million yuan. Anticipated annual invoiced sales are expected to reach 2 billion yuan, reflecting a 5.2 percent year-on-year growth.
