The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – convened an important conference on Feb 20 that is expected to help galvanize the region.
Attended by key industrial figures and government officials, the event aimed to unite stakeholders in a shared mission to drive growth going forwards.

During the conference, Kong Wei, deputy secretary of the Party working committee, outlined the zone's achievements and set out ambitious goals for 2024. This vision involves striving for top positions within the province, city and region while fostering unity and dedication among all stakeholders.
The zone's strategy includes topping regional economic growth targets, boosting project construction and attracting top-tier talent through strategic recruitment.
Additionally, the zone is focused on creating a great business environment, implementing innovative reforms and bolstering scientific and technological capabilities.
The event also served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences, fostering collaboration and innovation among leaders from a raft of enterprises.
A total of 10 awards were presented, honoring entities and individuals for their outstanding performances in areas such as safety production, environmental protection, science and technology innovation, project implementation and financial contributions, among others.
