A plant operated by Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd, a national high-tech group, recently made it onto the national list of 5G factories for 2023 – according to a statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Nov 20.
Founded in 2008 and located in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – it's said to be the world's largest manufacturer of N-type bifacial solar cells and modules.
The 5G factory boasts new industrial internet infrastructure that uses 5G technology to integrate various output functionality like production lines, workshops and factories.
The goal of 5G factories is to establish advanced plants that have strong connections between production units, a seamless integration of IT and operational technology – and to maximize the use of data elements for innovative applications.
