The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has made significant progress in attracting and retaining top science and technology individuals.
To do so, it's implemented strategies such as policy guidance, as well as improved work mechanisms – and collaborations with universities and research institutions – to bring in top talent and innovative projects.
To attract folks, the development zone established the Jiangyan-Shenzhen offshore innovation center, a platform for industry and education integration – as well as partnerships with international financial services group PricewaterhouseCoopers for talent programs.
The zone has also visited and negotiated with top universities and institutes across China to attract people and to promote collaboration between industry and educational institutions.
To create the best environment to recruit, train and retain personnel, the zone has prioritized the introduction of great infrastructure.
This includes the operation of an HR resource service industrial park and residential apartments. The zone also provides regular learning and training sessions to foster talent development.
What's more, the zone has focused on providing quality services to personnel, establishing a "Talent Weekend" service brand and organizing regular activities for young people.
It has also set up a "One-Stop Service Center for Talent" to meet all the service needs of people.
Moving forwards, the development zone is aiming to continue attracting talented individuals from around the world to provide intellectual support for its advancement and development.
