The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, in East China's Taizhou city, and Kunming University of Science and Technology's Faculty of Transportation Engineering, in Southwest China's Kunming city, held an event on Oct 19 to celebrate the establishment of a joint training base that aims to strengthen industry-university cooperation.

Wang Rongming, Party secretary of the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, highlighted the importance of talent in the science and technology sector.
He mentioned that the development zone has been actively implementing talent policies and collaborating with various sectors in order to improve industry-university cooperation. He also emphasized that the activities held that day were a testament to the fruitful work carried out to progress sci-tech innovations.
Zhang Qiang, Party secretary of the Faculty of Transportation Engineering at Kunming University of Science and Technology, expressed his hopes for further cooperation between the two parties.
He emphasized the compatibility between the university's transportation engineering program and the key industries in the zone. He stated that he looks forward to establishing mechanisms for exchanges and visits between the university and the local community.
The event also included a visit to several influential enterprises in the development zone. It also facilitated fruitful exchanges between the experts and business representatives in attendance.
