The third Edible Mushroom Industry Development Conference took place at Lianyungang city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 22-23.
During event, the first Yangtze River Delta Fresh Mushroom tasting and awards ceremony celebrated the burgeoning mushroom industry in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in the province. The occasion recognized the considerable achievements and quality of its mushroom products.
Jiangyan's popular Sufu shiitake mushroom claimed not one but two prestigious titles – awarded both the Top 10 Good Brands title and the esteemed Special Gold Award for excellent fresh mushrooms.

The conference drew the participation of more than 60 companies from Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangsu, with over 100 mushroom products being judged.
Over 160 representatives from research institutes, promotions agencies, enterprises and other organizations within the Yangtze River Delta region were in attendance.
The range of edible mushrooms included shiitake mushrooms, seafood mushrooms and over 20 other varieties.
The evaluation process encompassed a comprehensive selection of popular, rare and medicinal mushrooms – highlighting the wealth of participating companies and their products of top quality.
