The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – is acting to deepen its industry-education integration.
As part of that, two professors from the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology recently visited the zone, establishing a collaboration between the university and local enterprises.
The visit was part of the zone's ongoing efforts to support local businesses, with its officials regularly conducting visits to resident companies to address their technical needs.
In response to the specific technical needs of the enterprises in the zone, it's proactively sought assistance from experts and professors from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.

The experts and professors were invited to provide guidance and support to enterprises in improving the quality of their metal raw materials and conducting performance testing.
During the visit on July 30, the professors gathered relevant information on the companies' products, production processes, research and development activities and market prospects.
They engaged in discussions to identify potential areas for further research and development, after which an agreement was reached to collaborate on industry-university projects to meet evolving market demands.
