Manufacturer Taizhou Guorui New Energy Co Ltd, which is based in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – repurposes unutilized company and factory rooves, as well as residential rooves to roll out solar power generating systems, contributing to green and low-carbon development.
One of its projects – once connected to the grid – generate about 900,000 kilowatt hours of electricity, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,000 metric tons and saving the firm about 300,000 yuan ($41,848) in electricity costs each year.
Taizhou Guorui New Energy Co Ltd is utilizing the idle roofs of local Party and government organs, factories and rural residences to optimize the energy structure and promote clean energy projects.
Its managers say it aims to support the nation's goals of peak carbon and carbon neutrality while strengthening the capacity expansion of new energy supplies and power grid support.
Lu Xiaomeng, its deputy general manager, emphasized the significant environmental and economic benefits of solar power and the company's commitment to increasing green power supply in the region.
