The Taizhou Safety Emergency (Firefighting) Industry Summit Forum took place in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – on June 27.
The event brought together experts, academics, top companies and industry leaders to discuss the development of the safety emergency industry.
Taizhou city has been focusing on the advancement of this sector, including technology and equipment research, product manufacturing and service enhancements.
Significant progress is said to have been made in fire protection, emergency power supplies, emergency equipment and emergency medical supplies. These efforts have contributed to the city's output value for the safety and emergency industry last year, which generated 22 billion yuan ($3.04 billion) – up 15 percent on the previous year.
To top it off, the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone was also chosen as the founding unit of the national security emergency industry demonstration base.
The event also introduced the China (Taizhou) Intelligent Emergency Industrial Park in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone and featured reports on industry trends and developments.
Keynote speeches were given on the industry's development status and direction in the digital economy context.
