Nanjing Tech University – located in Nanjing city, capital of East China's Jiangsu province – held a "Taizhou Day" return visit in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in the province on June 25.
It was designed to boost collaboration with local governments, enterprises and their synergies in various fields.
The event built on the goodwill established by a similar one earlier in the year.
On Feb 20, Taizhou city organized a series of "Taizhou Day" activities at the university and over 40 Taizhou-based enterprises offered hundreds of employment opportunities to its students.
During the return visit, local officials emphasized the importance of education, science and technology – as well as talent – to support high-quality development in the region.
They called on the university to leverage its resources to deepen industry-university-research cooperation.

The two sides signed several pacts related to technology commercialization and school-enterprise science and technology cooperation – including an industry alliance of the College of Safety Science and Engineering at Nanjing Tech University, the Jiangsu Fire Protection Association and the Jiangyan Intelligent Emergency Industrial Park.
They also visited the China (Taizhou) Intelligent Emergency Industrial Park in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone to understand its technical needs.
