A total of 11 enterprises based in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone or Jiangyan EDZ – located in Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – were recognized as provincial specialized and sophisticated small to medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs in 2022.
The term "specialized and sophisticated SMEs" refers elite small and medium-sized businesses that specialize in niche markets, are high growth and boast cutting-edge technologies.
Through policy publicity, surveys and door-to-door visits, the Jiangyan EDZ has provided professional services for the whole process of enterprise declarations in recent years.
Currently, there are two national "little giants", 18 provincial specialized and sophisticated SMEs, three provincial little giant enterprises and 13 municipal little giant enterprises in the Jiangyan EDZ.
