The Huangqiao town of Taixing – a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – is picking up the pace at major new projects that will improve things for residents and boost the local economy.
One specialist project, costing 2.37 billion yuan ($334.15 million), aims to build a complex town focused on the violin-making industry and on cultural tourism within three years.
It will have a planned floor space of 214,000 square meters and 120,000 sq m was completed by the end of last year.
The current construction plan is to build one floor in 12 days and the construction team has deployed more personnel to accelerate the pace, said team leader Jiang Jiaqi.
Elsewhere, on the east side of Jinxi Road, a new home furniture mall that will be operated by Red Star Macalline Group Co Ltd is also well underway.
With an investment of 1 billion yuan, it is expected to launch the home furniture market in Huangqiao town and surrounding areas when it is opened.
Overall, Huangqiao is promoting the construction of projects – in education, medical services, sports and in others areas – that will benefit locals.
