Hailing district in Taizhou city, Jiangsu province, held a launch ceremony to celebrate Jiangsu Zhongke Kehua New Materials Co Ltd Phase II Project on Sept 16 as it commenced operations.
Founded in October 2011, the company is based in Hailing Industrial Park. Its Phase II Project, worth 520 million yuan ($71.18 million), broke ground in November 2021, with the aim of building 12 production lines for epoxy plastic sealing materials.
At full capacity it can produce 30,000 metric tons a year. The company controls over 20 percent of the domestic market for this industry.
"For many years, the Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences has been supporting the company's development through the joint construction of laboratories, regular technical exchanges, and active cooperation in industrial transformation projects," said Fan Qinghua, an official from the institute.
He said the institute will continue to provide full support for the innovative development of the company in the future.
A summit forum centering on Hailing's new materials industry was held on the same day, welcoming over 100 enterprise representatives and experts in the domestic semiconductor and integrated circuit materials fields.
Representatives from the China Semiconductor Industry Association and the Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered reports at the forum.
