A joint groundbreaking ceremony for a raft of major industrial projects in the third quarter was held in Hailing district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 8.
With a combined investment of 13.68 billion yuan ($1.88 billion), they cover a range of industries such as new energy, new materials, intelligent manufacturing, automotive parts and modern logistics.
The total investment for the new energy industry projects alone topped 6 billion yuan, accounting for nearly half of the total for all 16 projects.
The construction site of the intelligent production plant for aluminum alloy parts was the main venue for the ceremony. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project is invested in by Taizhou Kangqian Mechanical Manufacturing Co Ltd and is expected to produce 150,000 aluminum alloy parts a year.
Since the beginning of 2023, the district has made every effort to promote the construction of various projects and the local economy is showing a strong upward momentum.
