An avenue that exhibits wonderful calligraphy and painting works can be seen at Zhangjiayuan community – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.
From the start of the year, community authorities started putting in place the calligraphy and painting avenue. A total of 200 display stands have been arranged along the road, showcasing more than 600 calligraphy and painting works from renowned calligraphers in Taizhou.

The scope of the exhibits includes landscapes, flowers and bird paintings, poetry abstracts, as well as promotional slogans and local legends.
Community official Gao Xiaomei said the goal was to record the village's social history, evoke the nostalgia of bygone times and to deeply explore the place's cultural resources.
The Zhangjiayuan community, situated on the eastern side of Taizhou city, was included in a second list for traditional village protection in the province in 2020.
It has held a renowned local temple fair – that has been staged each Feb 19 in the lunar calendar for more than 500 years – with folk performances such as thrilling dragon dances.
