Mei Lanfang, the famous master of Peking Opera, hailed from the city of Taizhou, located in East China's Jiangsu province.

The Taizhou Mei Lanfang Art Center and the Taizhou Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Troupe were launched on Sept 26, 2023.

The city of Taizhou is the hometown of Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang. The Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall in Hailing district is an excellent place to learn more about the master.

Hailing district in Taizhou has recently launched a new map offering tourists a comprehensive guide to the ancestral home and theatrical legacy of the renowned Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang.
