Intl guests praise Taizhou city's tourism season

Representatives from various countries, foreign chambers of commerce and delegates from sister cities in the United States recently attended the opening of the 2024 Taizhou International Tourism Season and the Qintong Boat Festival.

The fun took place in Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province and the guests explored local attractions, experienced Taizhou's culture and discussed expanding commerce and trade and other cooperation.

Prinat Apirat, consul general of Thailand in Shanghai, said she hoped that the bilateral visa exemption policy would encourage mutual visits between the two regions, attract more Taizhou enterprises to expand their businesses in Thailand and bolster bilateral cooperation.

Luis Rubio, president of the China-Spain Chamber of Commerce, pledged to actively promote Taizhou to Spanish enterprises – further advancing practical cooperation between Taizhou and Spain in trade, education and in other fields.

Li Hui, chairperson of the China chapter of the Newport News Sister Cities Committee in the US, emphasized the potential for robust people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States – pledging to organize cultural and educational visits to enhance friendship and promote cooperation.

Throughout the tourism season, the foreign affairs office of the Taizhou municipal government will continue to facilitate foreign visits.

It will also integrate diplomatic resources and work to expand various international networks to boost Taizhou's economic and social development.
