A record 364 companies from Huzhou, Zhejiang province, will participate in the 140th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, securing 707 booths, according to the Huzhou municipal bureau of commerce.

The fair will be held in Guangzhou from Oct 15 to Nov 4 and marks the 70th anniversary of its founding.

Local exhibitors are preparing new products tailored to overseas markets. Huzhou Rijun Import and Export has developed products for the Middle East and South African markets. The company said its business in South Africa has generated more than $1.2 million in revenue since last year.

Zhejiang Taida Miniature Electrical Machinery will debut a new electronically commutated cooling fan. The company said the fan improves ventilation and cooling efficiency by about 30 percent, reduces raw material use by around 15 percent, and raises overall cabinet cooling efficiency by 30 percent.

Zhonghan Dooch Pump (Huzhou) Co will debut two new products at the Canton Fair. The company aims to secure more than 10 new customers and orders worth over $200,000.

Huzhou's commerce authorities will station a team at the fair to assist exhibitors with credentials, connections with overseas buyers, export credit insurance, trade financing, and foreign-related legal services.
