Zhejiang Wolwo Bio-Pharmaceutical Co in Anji county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, has increased investment in research and development, with several innovative products, including skin prick test solutions and house dust mite allergen products, entering the market this year. As a result, the company's profits increased by 60.4 percent year-on-year.

Huzhou has focused on strengthening the role of enterprises as key drivers of manufacturing innovation. From January to June, the city's new product output value accounted for 47.2 percent of total industrial output value, while new product output value grew 11.7 percent year-on-year, up 0.1 and 5.8 percentage points, respectively, from the same period last year.

The city has promoted the integration of artificial intelligence and manufacturing, supported the development of new industrial products, and expanded innovation platforms.

To improve the commercialization of research outcomes, Huzhou has developed an innovation system that brings together enterprise technology centers, pilot-scale testing platforms, and manufacturing innovation centers.

In the first half of the year, the city added three national pilot-scale testing platforms, the third most in Zhejiang. These platforms carried out 367 pilot projects and helped commercialize 63 research outcomes.

Huzhou also launched a manufacturing talent support program, with seven provincial-level industrial training projects cultivating more than 1,000 industry professionals in the first half of the year.
