Customs facilitating surging export of Anji bamboo fans
Bamboo fans from Anji county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, are enjoying a surge in exports during the peak of the summer heat.
Recently, a new batch of bamboo fans produced by Anji Liuhe Craft Products Co embarked on the journey overseas after passing inspection at the Anji office of Huzhou Customs.
Anji's "Zhangwu Bamboo Fans" are esteemed traditional handicrafts in Huzhou, boasting a rich historical legacy. They were chosen as official products for the Beijing Olympics and the Hangzhou Asian Games.
From January to June this year, Huzhou Customs oversaw 229 batches of bamboo fan exports, totaling 5.199 million yuan ($718,523.37).
"Our bamboo fans have high preservation requirements due to their environmental sensitivity. Prompt shipping after finishing production is crucial to ensure product quality," emphasized Hu Liuhe, head of Liuhe Craft.
In response to company concerns, Huzhou Customs introduced an inspection system to enterprises. This system enables them to schedule inspections in advance, improving clearance efficiency.
The system also offers online issuance of inspection and quarantine certificates, reducing the acquisition time from two days to half a day, promoting efficient, intelligent, and convenient customs clearance.
The export of "Zhangwu Bamboo Fans" not only aids in heritage preservation and innovation but also fuels rural vitalization and common prosperity. The Anji office of Huzhou Customs has emphasized the use of intelligent customs innovations and RCEP policies to facilitate the export of Anji's unique agricultural products.
