Deqing Geographic Information Town in the Moganshan High-tech Zone in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, stands out with its vibrant geographic information industry.

Now, a new sector — the geomagnetic industry — is flourishing in the area, attracting a diverse array of talent and scientific and technological innovation platforms.

Guangteng Laser Technology (Deqing) Co is a tech-focused company specializing in high-end laser research and production that set up operations in the town in February. The company has already delivered 35 sets of laser products this year.

To date, seven geomagnetic enterprises have set up operations in the town, mostly led by doctoral teams and demonstrating promising outcomes.

The Moganshan Institute of Geomagnetic Large-scale Scientific Facility plays a crucial role in fostering geomagnetic facilities and implementing a comprehensive innovation chain spanning science, technology, and industry.

Collaborating with institutions like the Zhejiang Earthquake Agency and universities, the institute focuses on the commercialization of achievements related to geomagnetic information acquisition and application equipment.

Moving forward, the institute will serve as a foundation for driving original geomagnetic scientific exploration, technological innovation, and industrial growth, helping establish an international hub known as the "International Geomagnetic Science Valley", according to an official of the geographic information development center in the high-tech zone.
