Clad in a traditional white folk costume, a man effortlessly executed various stunts atop a bamboo pole towering over 10 meters high on a riverboat.

This "high-pole boat" performance, recently staged in Lianshi Town, Huzhou, is also known by its other name, the "silkworm flower boat".

Widely recognized for its waterborne acrobatics, the boat show has close ties to local silkworm culture.

For generations, the silkworm farmers of Lianshi have organized these spontaneous folk celebrations to honor the silkworm goddess and seek blessings for a fruitful harvest.
