Huzhou, a co-host city for the 19th Asian Games, has made significant efforts to ensure a green and environmentally friendly experience for athletes, officials, and spectators during the event.

The city's commitment to sustainability is evident in the construction of venues for the Games. Instead of building new facilities, Huzhou has focused on renovating existing venues and upgrading their management systems, lighting systems, and other facilities to conserve energy and reduce emissions. This approach allows for the easy transformation of these venues into facilities for basketball training and urban sports parks, benefiting the public even after the Games conclude.

In terms of transportation, Huzhou has optimized its bus routes to provide convenient access to high-speed rail hubs, competition venues, scenic spots, and other locations for the public. Multiple bus routes have been added and optimized, ensuring full coverage of bus services at scenic spots at A level or above and high-speed rail hubs. To make getting around easier for international visitors, 1,730 buses operating in 373 bus routes have been equipped with bilingual announcements. Additionally, the city has introduced 315 new energy buses, 163 new energy taxis, and 400 new public bicycles to promote green travel.

From Aug 23 to Oct 31, athletes, officials, and spectators of the Asian Games can enjoy free bus rides throughout Huzhou by using their event credentials or tickets. The initiative has already benefited over 30,000 people, providing them with an exceptional green travel experience.
