Huzhou helps the disabled seek employment

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has been offering support for people with disabilities to seek employment as part of efforts to build a more inclusive society.
There are currently 4,235 people with disabilities working in 116 companies in Huzhou, accounting for 13.2 percent of disabled people of working age in the city.
These 116 companies eligible to apply for preferential taxation policies and have to date been exempted from taxes worth 1.21 billion yuan.
Huzhou has also built 87 industrial bases for the disabled and six training centers which have helped more than 500 disabled people find jobs. These initiatives have also increased the incomes of these disabled individuals by an average of more than 10,000 yuan ($1,538).
Rui Yong, president of Mizuda Group Co Ltd, said, "Doing all we can to help those in need is an effective way for companies to practice core socialist values and undertake corporate social responsibility."
Chen Xiaojing, chairman of Zhejiang Aoqi food Co Ltd, said that the company will continue to create more internships and job opportunities for people with mental disabilities.
