Huzhou's industrial added value surpasses 100b yuan
The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province reached 100.16 billion yuan from January to October, official data from the Huzhou municipal bureau of economy and information technology shows.
This is the first time that the city has topped 100 billion yuan in the added value of its industrial enterprises above designated size, which also represented a year-on-year increase of 15.7 percent, 0.5 percentage points higher than the provincial average.
Sales were generally faster than production during the 10-month period, as the output value and sales value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size reported growth of 26.2 percent and 28.3 percent respectively.
The shipment value of their exports in the first 10 months of this year rose by 30.1 percent year-on-year.
The robust growth can be partly attributed to the reduced sea transportation costs and the eased shortage of containers.
Exports of such commodities as ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and pharmaceuticals registered significant growth in this period.
As of the end of October, orders of key enterprises from Huzhou had reached 62.61 billion yuan in combined value, up 22.1 percent year-on-year, with 133 enterprises boasting orders valued at more than 100 million yuan.
A head official from the Huzhou municipal bureau of economy and information technology said that the local government will bolster confidence among enterprises by reducing costs and financial burdens on them in accordance with related policies.
