Huzhou's foreign trade up 35.8% Jan-Oct

Huzhou's imports and exports from January to October hit 124.15 billion yuan ($19.1 billion), up 35.8 percent year-on-year, according to Huzhou Customs.
The amount accounted for 3.7 percent of Zhejiang's total over the 10-month period.
Specifically, the city's exports rose 36.8 percent to 112.98 billion yuan, making up 4.6 percent of the province's total.
Meanwhile, its imports were valued at 11.17 billion yuan in the first 10 months of this year, a jump of 26.3 percent year-on-year.
Private companies and foreign-funded companies made up the lion's share of the city's foreign trade.
Their foreign trade value stood at 92.69 billion yuan and 19.92 billion yuan over the period, up 33 percent and 61.4 percent respectively.
Exports from Huzhou were primarily furniture, yarn, fabrics and plastic products. These products had a combined value that accounted for 45.8 percent of the city's total.
Huzhou exported 7.54 billion yuan worth of medicinal herbs and medicines, more than 3.4 times the amount from the same period last year.
