A number of children's clothing brands from Zhili town, Huzhou are attending the China (Shenzhen) Cross Border E-commerce Fair (CCBEC), which opened on Sept 16 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.

Zhang Wenxia, a staff member at Seven.Life, a Huzhou-based children's wear brand, said that the number of exhibition visitors were far more than their expectations despite the sporadic outbreaks of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases.

By participating in the fair, she said that the company hoped to improve brand awareness and tap into overseas markets.

Exports from Zhili town in Huzhou's Wuxing district have gained robust growth momentum on the back of the implementation of a market procurement trade model in late December of last year.

To date, more than 680 trade entities of various types have been registered in the town.

A total of 11,996 declarations for exports under the market procurement trade model have been made in Zhili, with commodities worth $1.13 billion being exported to 128 counties worldwide.

In the first eight months of this year, the online sales volume of children's clothing produced in the town surpassed 15.9 billion yuan ($2.45 billion). The countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RECP) were its prime trade partners.
