Sixteen journalists from countries including Germany, Japan, Poland, and the UK visited Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on April 14 to explore the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD), a region encompassing the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, as well as Shanghai.

The media group visited places including Yucun village in Anji county, Tianneng Group, and Noblelift Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd, gaining a general understanding of the city's endeavors in ecological conservation, beautiful village construction, green manufacturing, as well as industrial innovation.

Located in the center of the delta, Huzhou has been actively promoting the delta's integration, which has generated unprecedented opportunities for the city.

The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway, a key part of the nation's drive to promote the integration of the YRD, is currently under construction and is expected to reduce travel time between Huzhou and Shanghai to just half an hour.

It will also be the only city within one hour of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Hefei by high-speed rail.

Huzhou is also striving to be a pioneer in green development in the region.

Huzhou was the second stop of the four-day media tour, following Shanghai. The tour still includes stops in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province and Hefei, Anhui province.
