An additional cabin was established in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province to offer COVID-19 vaccine inoculation services on March 28.

The 11,000-square-meter cabin was erected at the old site of the Huzhou municipal central hospital, bringing the total number of such temporary vaccination sites in the city to three.

The cabin will primarily offer vaccination services from 8:30 to 16:30 every day for enterprises, government institutions, and schools located in the downtown area, with a daily vaccination capability of 5,000 doses.

In addition to the temporary cabins, inoculations can also be done at 92 fixed vaccination clinics across the city, with a daily maximum capacity of 40,000 doses.

Statistics from the Huzhou municipal health commission show that more than 293,000 doses of vaccines had been administered across the city as of March 27, with no recipients showing serious adverse reactions.

Vaccinations are now available to people aged 18 and above, with no restrictions on household registration and place of residence.

Huzhou has set a target of vaccinating more than 65 percent of its population during the mass vaccination drive, with an ultimate goal of achieving herd immunity.

Authorities announced earlier this month that it has begun offering COVID-19 vaccines to residents.
