Hubei Dinglong Co, a leading enterprise in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), recently reported an impressive 73.6 percent year-on-year increase in net profits for the first half of 2026, with revenues reaching 1.93 billion yuan ($285 million).

This achievement highlights WEDZ's focus on new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, fostering an industrial chain that spans key materials, core automobile components, and chip design and manufacturing.

Dinglong has mastered CMP polishing pad technology, a field previously dominated by United States firms. The company's monthly sales have skyrocketed from 10,000 pads in 2022 to over 50,000 by June 2026.

The expansion of leading enterprises such as Dinglong has spurred the development of related companies. Wuhan Dingze New Materials and Wuhan Huida Material Technology are making significant advancements in CMP polishing liquids and diamond dressing plates, respectively.

Meanwhile, Hubei Xintao Technology is pioneering in electrostatic chucks, achieving full-chain self-reliance in everything from ceramic powders to advanced products.

SiEngine Technology's car-grade intelligent cockpit chips have been integrated into numerous vehicle models, with over 150,000 installations in the first four months of 2026 alone.

WEDZ has also launched a 39-billion-yuan industrial fund, attracting substantial investments and driving innovation across the semiconductor supply chain.
