September is the talent service month of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
In response, the zone has issued comprehensive financial service cards and WEDZ talent cards for local talent, opening up green channels for them in government affairs, transportation, healthcare, finance, tourism and shopping.
The zone will also set up alumni associations for local graduates of China's top universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Nanjing University. Members of these associations will be granted the opportunity to visit WEDZ.
The zone's government officials will visit key local enterprises to inform them of relevant preferential talent policies and learn about enterprises' difficulties in talent cultivation and retention.
In addition, talent representatives will be selected to visit the zone's high-quality schools and high-end talent will be prioritized for access to WEDZ's medical resources.
Auto valley youth hostels have been built in the zone's Zhuankou, Junshan and Hannan areas, meeting the demand of young talent for short-term residences, start-ups, and more. More than 1,500 talent apartments have been built.
